Let's say you are planning on using your Sunlight budget to purchase five courses on Cryptocurrency. They are all from the same provider, so you decide to add them all to your cart, and place a single request on Sunlight for all five courses. After your request is approved, you use your prepaid card provided by Sunlight to purchase all the items in your cart. This is what we call "bulk requests".
We totally understand the convenience of adding several courses or books to the cart and using only one credit card to pay. However, we just wanted to let you know that when you buy in bulk, we have no way of knowing what specific resources have been purchased.
This means we will not be able to cater recommendations based on previous purchases, and users will not be able to review those resources for their coworkers to see and get inspired into learning something new.
Of course, this is in no way intending to keep our users from buying in bulk, please feel free to do so if you wish. We just thought we should let you know that your company would be missing out on some very useful Sunlight features if that is the case.
We are also looking for ways to improve this, but unfortunately since we would need to integrate closely with providers to know what is in your shopping cart when buying multiple items at once, it will most likely take us a little while. We apologise in advance for any inconveniences caused by this issue.
